No, it’s going well and I feel like I’m on schedule.

I’m still going through Aaron’s discography on U2Wanderer to make sure U2 Diary matches up and has all the important release dates. Did all the albums first, and I’m quite pleased with the structure I’m using for each album entry — well, 1-2 differ slightly, but most of the album release date entries follow a common structure. I think I’ll post one of them here on the blog as a sample one of these days. (Anyone have a preferred album to see in advance?)

Now I’m going through all the single releases and since it’s 1:11 a.m., I’m taking a break for the night. I’m up to “Numb” in 1993, so about halfway through the singles.

After I’m done with the discography stuff, I get to dig through a big box of goodies that a friend just sent — old magazines, clippings, photos, etc. Can’t wait to tackle that stuff.

Oh, here’s a picture of me from a couple weeks ago while writing the book. Those are a couple issues of Hot Press open on the desk in front of me.

    Well, once it’s JT 20 years…

Good luck with getting it all done! I’m sure you’ll meet your deadline.

If I had to choose an album I’d probably go with the Joshua Tree (seeing as it’s the 20th anniversary and all)

Glad to hear we’re coming in handy Matt. Just a word of advice – if you are using the chart positions for singles double check With or Without You with me. 🙂

And thanks for solving the October mystery. I’m wondering if the later date isn’t a US release date. I’m going to have to go back through my records to see where that came from…I’ve got meticulous notes from the early days of the site where all my references came from…

And nice to see ya! One of these days I’m going to have to visit HQ again.

Matt, I see your book is listed on Amazon for pre-release. I look forward to pre-ordering it but don’t rush it like a certain U2 album. 🙂

    where do we submit pictures?

  8. Matt says:

Declan – wow! I had no idea it was there. I was totally flipping out today when I found it. Thanks for letting me know.
