Amazon.com: Now Shipping!
Not long after posting yesterday’s update about Amazon saying they wouldn’t ship U2 – A Diary for another month, I got an email from Beth B., who’s helping to promote the book, letting me know that the book had arrived at the warehouse in New York. That confirmed my suspicion that Amazon wasn’t really going to have to wait a month to ship.
Then I went and traded emails all day today with the very helpful people at Omnibus and learned all kinds of stuff about how book distribution works, and was just about to post an explanation here on the blog, when fellow @U2 staffer Tassoula forwarded me an email from Amazon that showed this:
The Amazon.com sales page still says “Ships in 2-3 weeks,” but I’m guessing that’ll change in the next day or two. The Barnes & Noble page is already updated to show “Usually ships within 2-3 days.”
So, good news all around. If you pre-ordered, you should be getting the book soon. If you haven’t ordered yet, you should be able to get it pretty quickly.
I got my confirmation today as well!
YAY! FINALLY THE WAIT IS OVA! OH AND DAD DO I GET A FREE COPY LET ME ANSWER THAT FOR YOU YES
received it yesterday!
Great reading
Got it today – can’t wait to crack it open after work! Flipped through it a bit – looks great.
It was waiting for me when i got home (LA area) from work!! YAY!! now i can geek out all weekend. looks great, but… why is the author’s name sooo small on that big cover?
I received the book today, and it looks awesome!
It’s larger than I thought it would be, and it’s great to have all this info collected into one book.
I was a bit surprised to see that the whole book is in black and white, since Matt recently wrote “This book has color photos (and B&W) throughout the whole book”.
But the important thing is the text, of course. 🙂
Cool when are you getting your copy Dad?
That’s surprising to me, too, Jakob. The proofs I saw had color photography mixed in throughout. Strange…. I apologize for the misinformation.
I’m in Canada my copy arrived on Monday. Thanks for the hard work on both the book and website. Its hard to believe I’ve been checking it regularly for almost a decade. Looking forward to reading through over the next few weeks.
