14 Interviews: You Pick the Best
Thank you to all who took me up on the offer to do a five-question Q&A about U2 – A Diary. You knocked my socks off with the response to this contest, and with the great questions you put to me. I hope my answers are equally as good.
The Interviews
There are more than a dozen interviews in the contest. Each one is listed below. I believe a couple might be hard to reach due to registration/membership/friendship walls. It’s up to you if you want to register to read the Q&A; the interviewer has been notified that they may not get many votes because of this.
Your task: Read each interview listed below and choose the one you think is best. If there’s more than one link next to a person’s name, just choose which site you want to use — the interview is the same.
- Sue / Crystal Gazer
- Beth / U2 Sermons
- Anna (on Last.fm)
- David Wallace
- Dave Waltman / technoCOACH
- Bronwyn Galloway: on Facebook or MySpace
- Roman Gokhman: on MySpace
- Dave Wainscott / holy heteroclite
- Brian Madl
- Maria Paula Delgado: U2Peru.com and U2Chile.net
- Phil Papaelias
- Angela Pancella
- Ernesto Abeytia
- Mimi (from “Hello Mimi”)
Time to vote!
Okay, did you read each one? Have you made a mental note — or written down — the name of the one you’re voting for? Here’s the link to cast your vote:

Interviewers — feel free to encourage your readers/friends to come vote for you. 🙂
What’s Next?
Since there are so many interviews to read, I’ll leave the contest open until the end of the week. The voting deadline will be 11:59 p.m. PST Friday night. I’ll notify the winner over the weekend and confirm the prize — a copy of U2 – A Diary and a $50 gift certificate to either Amazon.com or iTunes (U.S.).
Look for an announcement of the winner sometime this weekend or early next week. Thanks again to everyone for helping me spread the word about the book!
Matt,I am extremely impressed not only by the questions posed by the site owners but by your very detailed and honest answers in the interviews. It goes to show that U2 fans themselves are very astute interviewers.I regret that I never got around to interviewing you.Nevermind,I couldn’t match the ones I’ve read.Great idea, you are as much of a celeb in the eyes of U2 fans than the band.Best wishes on the release of U2 Diary.
Hard to choose, they are all good interviews!
Declan & Anita — I agree with you both. The questions were terrific all around. It was a fun thing to do for me, and I hope so for the interviewers, too.
It was a fun thing for me to do as well!
