Let’s Play Again: When/Where Was This Photo Taken?

Now that we’ve solved the first case of “When/Where Was This Photo Taken?” (thanks Mary!), how about we give it another try?

This is like “Ask the Audience” on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. I don’t know the answer, but the intelligent audience might be able to help.

Here’s another photo in consideration for U2: A Diary that we need a date and location for, if possible.

Looks like pre War era to me.

It’s a stadium and Pre War appearances at stadiums were rare enough for U2

My best guess is July 31t 1982 Gateshead International Stadium - UK.

scroll down and you can see Edge is wearing the same light blue shirt, and Bono has a tanned sleeveless jacket on but has a white t-shirt underneath which checks with the photo. Hairstyles are the same.

Looks like a match !
