14 Interviews: You Pick the Best

6 Oct

Thank you to all who took me up on the offer to do a five-question Q&A about U2 – A Diary. You knocked my socks off with the response to this contest, and with the great questions you put to me. I hope my answers are equally as good.

The Interviews

There are more than a dozen interviews in the contest. Each one is listed below. I believe a couple might be hard to reach due to registration/membership/friendship walls. It’s up to you if you want to register to read the Q&A; the interviewer has been notified that they may not get many votes because of this.

Your task: Read each interview listed below and choose the one you think is best. If there’s more than one link next to a person’s name, just choose which site you want to use — the interview is the same.

Time to vote!

Okay, did you read each one? Have you made a mental note — or written down — the name of the one you’re voting for? Here’s the link to cast your vote:

(will open in a new window)

Interviewers — feel free to encourage your readers/friends to come vote for you. :)

What’s Next?

Since there are so many interviews to read, I’ll leave the contest open until the end of the week. The voting deadline will be 11:59 p.m. PST Friday night. I’ll notify the winner over the weekend and confirm the prize — a copy of U2 – A Diary and a $50 gift certificate to either Amazon.com or iTunes (U.S.).

Look for an announcement of the winner sometime this weekend or early next week. Thanks again to everyone for helping me spread the word about the book!

Interview Contest Update

2 Oct

Your response to the interview contest has been almost overwhelming — thank you! Seriously, I was hoping 5-6 of you would want to send me some questions, but we reached that number already.

At the moment, I believe 6-8 interviews have already been posted, and I have at least three more sets of questions sitting in my IN box. So, you’ll have a lot of reading to do before you get to choose which interview deserves the prize. And let me say that there have been some excellent and difficult questions for me to answer!

Important note for those of you doing the interviews: If you publish the Q&A in your Facebook or MySpace account, you might be limiting the number of people who can read (and vote for) your interview. Probably best to post the Q&A somewhere that people don’t need to have an account, be your friend/contact, etc. But ultimately, it’s up to you. :)

Thanks to all who’ve done Q&As so far. The rest of you still have a couple days left if you want to join the contest.
