Ain’t This The Sweetest Thing…

4 May

I was just looking at the Amazon.com book page, and saw a discussion started by U2Kitteh, which includes this:

As a true diehard U2 fan, Matt knows exactly what U2 fans want and U2 Diary is sure to become an important staple in every fan’s collection. Promising to be packed with tons of information that fans are itching to commit to memory, U2 Diary sounds like it will hit the spot! Can’t wait!!

(That’s just some of the post. Here’s the full thing.)

Wow! Thanks, U2Kitteh — that’s the sweetest thing. I hope the book lives up to your expectations!

Out of Touch…

19 Aug

Just a quick note to anyone leaving comments here on the blog, or using the Contact Me page to send in material: I’ll be pre-occupied for the next week and won’t be working on the book at all. Everything should be back to normal by next Saturday/Sunday, so if you don’t hear from me, don’t be alarmed.

(On the bright side, this past week was a vacation week and I did a lot of work on the book; very productive. If you’re counting at home, I’m at 136,000+ words.)

More Thanks & Welcomes

29 Jun

Just a quick note to say thanks to Kevin at U2exit.com and Angelo at Noodles U2 for writing about the book and linking to U2diary.com.

Welcome to the folks who came here from there!

Quick note to E-mailers

23 Jun

Sorry for not replying more quickly. I have more than a dozen unanswered e-mails that I hope to get through this weekend, and then I’ll be without my home computer for a bit next week. So thanks for your patience if you’ve written in….

More Welcomes: U2log.com, U2tour.de, MacPhisto.net, U2.se, and U2 Slovenia

Welcomes are in order to readers of U2log.com and U2tour.de. The links above — “help write it”, “about”, and “f.a.q.s” should answer most of your questions, but feel free to leave a comment if I missed something. :)

I would really love to hear from fans in Germany and elsewhere around the world, since you have access to newspapers, magazines, and other reports that I’ve never heard of.

Thanks to Caroline and to the U2tour.de crew for writing about U2 Diary on your web sites!

Update: Thanks also to Matthias at Macphisto.net, Simon at U2.se, and Tincek at U2 Slovenia for mentioning U2 Diary!
